Well, I haven't updated this journal in several months. Alot has been goin on. I won't go through all the private stuff here, my friends only journal is for that. So let me just say that life is getting better. I've moved into my own apartment and I'm liking it muchly. Still working down at the boat. I'm sure I'll be there for awhile. Looking to pick up a second job at the moment. Have to pay off my nasty debts and whatnot. I figure once I get more financially stable life will get a whole hell of alot easier for me. Xmas is just around the corner again. Where does the time go?. I'm not so much in the holiday spirit but I have tried to decorate a bit anyway. My ringtone on my telephone now plays the sugar plum fairy tune. Blasted ringtones. Spending more money than I have again. The new USI library is awesome I have to say. It's huge. I haven't been out to USI in 6 months so this is the first time I've been in here. Looks like I won't be able to return to school until I pay off my debts. Then I will sign up for at least one class. I enjoy learning far too much to quit school altogether. At the rate I'm going I'll be in school until I'm 40, lol, just kidding. A cigarette and a diet coke sounds excellent right now. Oye, 2 nasty little habits I've picked up again recently. Stress piled on top of more stress will do that to ya. I got a myspace today. Yup, I figure everyone at work has one so I spose I'd get myself one too. Gotta be part of the cool crowd, lol. Well, more updates will come later. Peace, Love, and all that jazz, Jen

This day has gone by waaaay too fast for me to get any of my homework done. I have math homework AND an essay due tomorrow and I haven't got either of them done. This week my mind has been in 'spring break mode', which means I've been lazy about getting anything done this week but sleeping and going to work...which reminds me, it's my friday. I know my teacher isn't going to be happy with my not bringing in a paper tomorrow. It's going to affect my grade, that's for certain. The truth is, I don't want to write about feminism. I really want to write about Anti-Fur and I'm going to ask her if she will allow me to do this tomorrow night. It's worth me asking her. I can't write something that I'm not interested in. If I feel strongly about an issue, it's an A paper. If I have no interest in the issue, it's a definate F, which sucks, but it's true. Anyhoo, I better get going. I'm going to see if I can get at least some of my homework done. Later...

It's been an ungodly amount of time since I've update this journal. You would think that I actually had a life outside of LJ or something but the sad truth is that I've just been watching alot of tv. I went through my photobucket album today and found quite alot of amusing pictures that I'd forgotten I had.

I totaly loved the movie Can't Hardly Wait - it's a funny teen movie and I'm a sucker for those. Still searching for Can't Hardly Wait colorbars (someone posted a bunch of them awhile back but I didn't snatch them up). That's right, I'm a loser.

I admit, I belong to a few icon-stealing communities (that's where I got the icon above)
I love my icons, what can I say? Photobucket is my best friend, lol. However, I also belong to several members only icon communities in which the makers are adament about getting credit for what they make. I have no problem crediting makers and will not post their icons anywhere except for my own personal use (with permission of course!). Recently I've found out that alot of icon makers are getting pretty pissed at icon stealing communities. I know for a fact that a few of them are going to be causing a lot of drama at these communities if they catch them posting any of their icons without permission.
So what is my opinion on this?
Well, for starters, I don't make icons. I belong to some of the best icon communities on LJ and I can tell you that I think alot of their work should be credited, that's why I always do!. However...this is the internet, and do you know how many people own livejournals?! A few million! Saying that, it's a little unrealistic to think that no one will ever steal your icons. It's a fact, it's going to happen. I know the icon makers get upset about it, but it's not going to stop people from stealing. So my solution is this - Either accept the fact that people are going to steal your icons, or just don't make them at all (and if they don't use your icons at LJ, they'll use them somewhere else, I guarantee that). Like I said before, I always credit and ask for permission first, but there's a large majority of people who don't care and will steal AND hotlink (and we all know that hotlinking sucks, don't do it!). So now I'm just waiting to see what sort of drama is going to start brewing at these icon communities. Because at LJ, we know drama.

I've been in a real funk the past few days which I'm getting myself out of (slowly but surely). Someone told me I'm not getting enough sunlight, lol. I'm certain this is a possibility.
This just in : I got a phone call a minute ago and this guy asked me,"Uh yes, is this where Mr. Blah lives?" (meaning my roomate). I said, "Yes it is, but he's not home right now, can I take a message?" And he says to me, "Okay, well is this the house of the Pastor of such-and-such Baptist church?" Hahahahahhahaha I about burst out laughing! I said, "No, but this has happened before. See, they have the same names so alot of people have mistaken the two" And he says, "Oh sorry!". LOL!
So I was bored and put in 'cookies' for Yahoo images. Here's some of the funny things that came up:
Gourmet Flavored Fortune Cookies! (something I've never seen before but amuses me)
I don't have enough time to decorate anything like this. One time I bought a billion cookie cutters, the different colored icing, the sprinkles, etc. Anyway, it took me HOURS to decorate those things. I did a pretty good job and all, but it's not something I'd want to do every day.
I'm not sure what to think...

Apparently Fortune Cookies aren't as dull and flavorless as they used to be. Normally I just crack my fortune cookie open and throw out the cookie, but I want a whole box of these!
